Parrots?

So I was walking to the bus stop the other day to get my kids when I saw this really pretty bird. After a minute I looked and noticed that there were a lot of them. I never have seen birds like these flying around like you'd see Robins at home. I came home and told Alan about these pretty birds that I saw. He told me he thought they were probably Parrots. Aren't parrots red? I obviously am not that educated on birds. I had no idea that they could look like this. He pulled up a picture on the internet and sure enough, we have parrots that fly around wild here.
