Monday August 10th was the first day of school at Indus. We drove Maddie and Ethan out to the school and met their teachers. They went off to breakfast and then to class. They rode the bus home after school and got home at 5:10 that night. The kids were so tired when they got home. Ethan had fallen asleep on the bus, and Maddie fell asleep on the bus the 2nd day. They leave at 7:20 a.m. so it becomes a long day. They ride the bus 1 hour each way to the school.

Maddie was pretty excited. She and Ellie wear these uniforms. She has to wear it on Mondays, and then they have a PE uniform that she wears the rest of the week.
This is how Ellie spent her 1st day of school. She got sick on Saturday just before school started. She had a fever, sore throat, cough and now its gone into her chest. I took her to the hospital and they gave her some antibiotics and told me that if she wasn't getting better by Wednesday to bring her back to the hospital and have her admitted so that they could do a H1N1 test on her. She has started to feel better, so we haven't gone back. I guess 5 other little girls in the neighborhood all have the same thing and have been out of school to. Hopefully the rest of us don't get it. Hopefully she'll be able to have her 1st day of school on Thursday or Friday.

Holy cow does your day seem like you have forever by the time they leave and get home? How is Ellie? That is the worst to be sick when you are looking forward to something so new. The haircut was so funny too....wow what fun you are all having.
