OK, you win!!

Ethan has had a few problems being potty-trained. Anyone who has tended him will agree. Well, I talked to his pediatrician a few weeks ago about it and he is convinced that Ethan needs more fiber in his diet. Anyway...he said to give him 3 plums/prunes everyday to see if it will help him. Ethan is having a really had time wanting to eat them. Tonight I put 1 on his dinner plate and he cried and cried. I put one also on Maddie and Ellie's plates too so he wouldn't feel like I was trying to be mean just to him.  Ellie popped hers in and chewed, faking that she loved it. Maddie cried and cried also. I told Maddie and Ethan that they couldn't get down from the table until they had at least tried them. They both didn't want anything to do with it.  Finally they had both eaten everything else on their plates and Maddie broke down and put it in her mouth, bit it once and spit it out on her plate.  "Ew!! That tastes like RAISINS!!" You'd think raisins were toxic. She then got down and I told her to head to bed. It was 8:30 by this time.

This is when the battle of will began!!

Ethan started yelling at me and telling me he wasn't going to eat it. I would then tell him he was and he would say he wouldn't...you get my drift.  Finally he said "I just want to go to bed." I told him "no, you need to try that plum" I went out of the room for a minute to put Annie to bed and when I came back this is how I found him.

OK, you win! You can go to bed without the plum!!

2 years?!?

So...Alan got a call from the people over India.  We are going, but they had another offer...they want him to do a different position. Instead of being a coach, he would oversee all of the coaches over there. (from what I understand) The only thing is that it is a 2 year job instead of a 1 year one.  He has another meeting this week to get all of the plans worked out and all of his questions answered and then maybe we'll (Alan and I) be off to find housing and get our kids into schools over there. So, for now I'm gathering birth certificates and passports for all of us. HERE WE GO!! I think I've been in denial that we really are going to go. I started thinking about everything that can happen in 2 years...Annie will be almost 3 years old by the time we came home, Ellie would be going into 6th grade, Maddie will get baptized over there, and Ethan...well...hopefully he'll be potty-trained by the time we come home. :) (Just kidding he's been really good lately. I need to quit joking about it and maybe we'll get past it.)  I guess it's good news for all of you who want to visit us...you'll have one more year to save up your $$$ and come over!!

This one's for you Tracy

So, Tracy came to our house today and we were talking about Facebook and blogging and she told me that I need to update. She showed me how to accessorize my blog and make it cute! We spent at least 2 hours stalking people on Facebook, and accessorizing my blog. It was pretty fun! Maybe I'll be able to keep up on it, but I wouldn't count on it.

This past weekend was Valentines and Alan and I went out with a few couples from our neighborhood. We had a fun night at Skybox and then Chocolate Fountain at our house.  Cleve and Annie took Ethan for the weekend and he had a ball! My sister Amy took Ellie and Maddie for the night and they even got to sleep over!! The next night we traded tending with Amy and they went out to dinner and a movie. We took the kids to Chuck E Cheese and they loved it. Everyone there commented on how my "twins" (Camie and Annie) looked identical. Um...I think they need to take another look!  It was really fun though.

Annie

Two things are now different about Annie. The first is she is now officially a "roller". I'm so sad. My baby is getting bigger and I don't want her to. She was laying under her toys, and I walked to the other side of the room and when I looked back she was on her tummy. I asked Ethan if he had moved her (he does that) and he said "No". I rolled her back over, and went into our kitchen and when I looked back she was doing it again. I'll have to post a video.
The second thing is that I witnessed a side of her yesterday that I have never seen. She is a Jealous baby! I got to babysit Amy's baby yesterday for a few hours. All was well...they were smiling and playing with toys, and well...just laying there being happy. Cami started to fuss so I picked her up and calmed her down. All was still fine. She started to fuss again and I realized it was time to feed her. All was still fine. I made her a bottle and started to feed her. Annie started to cry a little and I thought she was probably tired because she had eaten about an hour before so she couldn't be hungry. I put Cami down and put Annie in her bed, and went back to feeding Cami. Annie started to scream in her bed. I went back and got her out of bed and she was O.K. I held her for a minute and picked up Cami at the same time because I needed to finish feeding her. Annie started to scream!!! I started to laugh because everytime she looked at Cami she started to cry! Amy got home about 2 minutes later, and took Cami into the other room to finish feeding her and Annie became her old smiling happy self again. I walked into the other room with her and as soon as she saw Cami she started to cry again!
